Part-time/undergraduates come with less experience, but are more familiar with the syllabus as they have recently completed their exams. They are young, fresh, vibrant, and are individuals your child can better relate to. They have also done well in major examinations (PSLE, O-, N-, and A-Levels).
Full-time/graduates typically come with more than five years of tuition experience. They are mostly graduates who possess extensive experience and adaptability in handling different types of students. They have a passion for teaching and are highly committed because as full-time tutors, they are able to flexibly accommodate a wider range of timings and schedules.
Being NIE trained, current/ex-MOE teachers are well-versed in teaching techniques and pedagogy. They possess a wealth of classroom teaching experience and are most familiar with the school syllabus. Although they are the most qualified and sought-after group of tutors, it can be difficult to find MOE teachers who are readily available due to their busy and tight working schedules, as they teach in school during the day, and can only give tuition in the evenings.
For this lively bunch of students, we recommend setting aside 1.5 hours each lesson. Our tuition rates cover fun, interactive classes and learning-through-play sessions.

For JC students, our tuition rates include tuition services that specifically help JC1 levels develop a strong foundation in H1 and H2 subjects as well as prepare for their Promotional Exams. As for JC2 level students, the main focus is to help them develop the necessary skills to score well for their A-Level examinations. We recommend an average of 2 hours per session.

The six-year IP helps students benefit from a broader learning experience that includes non-academic aspects outside the academic curriculum. Tutors will engage students to prepare for the IB exams at every grade. Our tuition rates offer a comprehensive range of services that help Grade 1 to 6 students develop an interest and strong foundation in subjects, and prepare Grade 7 to 10 students for the IGCSE exams. We will generate a list of tutors based on your indicated preferences within six hours. You can select a few tutors that you would like to learn more about from the list. We will address any queries and concerns which you may have. After you have selected a tutor, Singapore Tuition Teachers will liaise with the tutor and arrange for the first lesson.
Tutors registered with Singapore Tuition Teachers are screened beforehand to ensure that their qualifications and credentials are genuine. We constantly review our database to ensure that only qualified and credible tutors are being retained. We seek regular feedback from parents about tutors’ performances, and have also set up a communication channel with industry partners to share information about tutors who provide fake qualifications or are unable to teach properly.
Tutors set the tuition rate based on their experience and qualifications. Rates tend to vary as each tutor is unique. Some sought-after tutors may command a higher rate due to their reputation and track record, while others may be fresh graduates who have just completed their studies and only recently started giving tuition.
Each year, we carry out a review of the average tuition rate for each category of tutors and publish it here (link to tuition rates page). When recommending a tutor, we will strive to ensure that the tuition rate is close to the market rate.

No, we collect the amount from the tuition fees. The first two weeks of lesson fees will be paid to us instead of the tutor. There is no additional amount payable by you. Parents can pay us via PayNow, online bank transfer, or cheque. All subsequent tuition fees will be paid directly to the tutor.
For example:
Mrs Lim hires a tutor to teach her daughter. The tuition rate is $40/hour. The lesson is held once a week. Each lesson is 1.5 hours.
The total tuition amount for the first two weeks of tuition will be $120 ($40/hr x 1.5 hour x 2 lessons). Mrs Lim needs to pay the amount for the first two lessons to us instead of the tutor. The tutor will have to agree to this arrangement prior to accepting the tuition assignment. For all subsequent lessons, she will pay directly to the tutor.
There are no extra hidden costs; and troublesome processing, termination, penalisation, and commission fees. For the first two weeks of lessons, the amount is paid to us instead of the tutor. We are collecting the amount from the tuition fees. There is no additional amount payable by the parent. This transparent pricing and business model is our commitment and promise to you.
